Anyone who attended Mass on Saturday, August 28th was likely very pleased to see Fr. Ken back (judging by attendance). During his homily, Fr. Ken disclosed to the parish that his ankle injury was caused by a fall. The reason for the fall was a cardiac condition called atrial fibrillation which can cause dizziness and even fainting. It became clear during Mass that Fr. Ken was not feeling his best and did not distribute communion. He was pale and later advised that he was feeling dizzy and weak. A short time after Mass, Fr. Ken was taken to Groves Memorial where we understanding he was advised that he had had a heart attack. He has been sent to St. Mary’s Hospital in Kitchener for treatment (possible pacemaker) and we are waiting for more information. I have been advised that he was feeling better and in good spirits. We would like to ask for your prayers for Fr. Ken at this time and I will keep everyone advised of his progress.
Cancellation of Weekday Masses – Although weekday Masses were scheduled for this week, they obviously need to be cancelled. We will advise the Parish when they are to resume.
